Shared Access:
In many respects,
Internet demands for small businesses are similar to those of
larger organizations. The biggest exception is that
smaller businesses typically have fewer resources to afford
broadband services. Because of the need to economize, many
smaller businesses are faced with decisions that pit economics
versus performance , therefore, businesses sometimes choose
plans that often leave them under served. Common options
for small business include "bundled carrier services", "carrier
DSL," or services offered by the local cable companies.
While these
competing services often are priced aggressively, the
packaging of broadband can be questionable or inconsistent.
As an example, bundled services typically are driven through a
fractional T-1 or a dedicated T-1 to your office. These
plans normally include local and long distance calling.
Internet is usually offered based on the availability of
bandwidth left over after the various voice needs are set.
Other businesses turn to local "carrier DSL" plans or what is
offered by the local cable companies. Although these plans
are economically driven, the deliverable is often plagued with
issues such as unbalanced (asymmetrical) services, overloading
of the circuits and more.
Transwave
"Shared Access" was designed to compete very aggressively with
traditional Telco DSL and cable services both from a price and
performance perspective! This is a Shared Access platform,
allowing our subscribers access to an enjoyable tiered service
depending on bandwidth needs and budget. Service tiers
include 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps, and 4 Mbps.
